Don’t get scared if you see something like this, cause i found a solution for it. I tried to search the whole internet for its solution, finally i figure it out. Here are the steps for troubleshooting:
- Open Home folder, from view option click on “Show hidden files”.
- Now you will see a folder name .wine
- Rename the folder as .wine old
- Doing this will force wine to create a new prefix again.
- Now, go to the mt4 installed directory & run the uninstaller.exe to uninstall it.
- Delete the files mt4 files from the directory & desktop shortcut.
- Now, finally reinstall the mt4 again & run it.
Another thought, if you don’t want to run the uninstaller, then go to the installed directory & run “terminal.exe“. You will see that your mt4 is running again, without any errors! For the desktop short, you can delete it & create a shortcut of terminal.exe on the desktop.
